I like my new job.

So far, I like working at Modern Myths. Jim the manager is a very nice and understanding fellow, and he says things like: "when you make mistakes, don't get bent out of shape. We all make them, and we can fix just about any honest mistake." After decades of feeling like a jerk because I couldn't seem to get things right, and thus becoming either rigidly perfectionist or completely apathetic, it was nice to have an (even slightly) older man who has some power over me treat me with respect and understanding and not be judgemental.

I could get used to this.

This is exactly the job you needed after all the self-esteem-crushing nastiness of your last job. I'm really glad you and MM found each other and that you *like* your job. So few people can say that in this world.

Your post reminded me that even despite my griping about my boss, I too like my job. Thanks for helping me remember that. See you tomorrow, far too early.
