Crappy news

On Wednesday my mom went in for a routine exam of her lungs, part of the continuing follow-ups from her cancer surgeries. And they found a spot which had grown in the OTHER lung. It may be nothing, it may be benign, it may be bacterial, and it may be more cancer. It looks likely that Mom will have to have surgery of some sort for most of those possibilities, though with luck it will be arthroscopic.

Someday, something will kill my mother. But I hope that it is not now, and not this.

with all due respect i hope your mom goes out saving a bus load of nuns and cute babies. because someone who is a survivor deserves to leave their life on the highest note possible.
