Happier note

Reflecting on last night's troubled conversation, I notice that I cast about for grown up role-models in my past. "Quick, who would have handled this well, and how would they have handled it?" I can't explain how, but I felt myself channeling Ed Germain, the high school english professor who taught me to write. I haven't seen Ed in years, but I hope he's well. I should drop him a line and let him know he's still teaching me by example, 17 years later.
