Here's something I never thought I'd type: I'm actually, genuinely excited about a comics-adapted movie that hasn't even been made yet. The Wachowski brothers have apparently cast Natalie Portman to star in V for Vendetta, an amazing Alan Moore, Dave Talbot graphic novel from the late 80s. This could well be a truly great film.

That I'm actually genuinely excited about a comics-adapted movie. But I actually quite enjoyed the copy of V... you gave me back in the day.

It was really good, and I think the first time I ever thought I could find a comic book interesting reading. That and the Doom Patrol collection you gave me around the same time.

And Natalie Portman. Wow, wow, wow. I can't wait.

I read through the IMDB's bio for something interesting to say here, and I was intrigued to discover that Keira Knightley was one of the bodyguard doubles for Ms. Portman in the movie, and that, in the make up, they looked so much alike that their mothers had trouble telling them apart.

I was disappointed that, halfway down, it casually lists her real name. What ever happened to respect for privacy?

Having just re-read V, I think the casting of Ms. Portman is pure genius.
