Dec. 14th, 2004 01:00 amWell, I didn't do too badly on the first one, so let's hope this one goes OK, too. It's tough, because I feel I don't know you very well, but anyway:
You know, I'm sure, that you are a good listener, that you have a warm and empathetic heart. I think you know, and you should take to heart, that you are a devoted therapist and that you genuinely help your clients, that you do your job well and do real good in doing so.
What you definitely need help remembering is that you are powerful, capable, and responsible. You can take hold of the steering wheel of your life and drive it someplace nice. You do not need to apologize to anyone for wanting a meaningful and happy life, and for making your own needs more important than everyone else's. It's your car. If they don't like where you're going, they can get out at the next intersection.
