Well, I didn't do any damn reading yesterday. I had a fabulous lunch with Larry, who has really been doing a great job of being an interested and supportive mentor of late, and talked about Boyle, alchemy, openness and secrecy, and how everything old is new again (a common thread for historians, I guess) and when he asked me what was next in my life for me, I gave him an honest answer (find a job, stop living off other people's money and try writing a book), and he said that he thought that that would be something I'd do well. Wow. It went so well with this father-proxy that maybe I'll try it with my real father sometime.

In the evening, I had dinner with Sydneycat and had a genuine conversation with her, something I haven't done in too long. It was good, though I fear that I shall have to give up Indian cuisine, or at least India Palace. (Do they cook everything in butter?)

Then, I wasted time at Millari's checking LJ and email and such, and watching XMen2 on DVD, because I didn't want to work. Stayed up far too late, though it meant I was awake for her goodnight call at 3:30 AM.

Today, worked. Bailed Whoknowswhynot out of serious crazy-customer-who-won't-shut-up-or-leave hole. Now posting this. Up next, dinner, reading, and seeing sweetie. (Well, and maybe an inning of the Sox game...:)

And given that he 1) never shuts up and 2) randomly threatens to kill people, fear is, indeed, the correct verb. We should discuss him Wednesday night.

Yes, but I get the sense that people have to have wronged him in a shakespearen sense to warrant the random death sentence...

What, by asking him to leave their store and stop scaring their customers?
