I can't recall the last time I spent an hour barking with laughter, marveling at clever references, and beaming with glee, but that's how I spent the time watching this year's Xmas special.  I'm so pleased my mother and brother wanted to watch it with me; since they haven't seen any of the new Who, they were a bit lost in places, but soldiered on anyway.

Oh, and I made a damn fine roast beast for dinner, if I do say so myself.

Happy to hear you had a good holiday! We had a nice relaxing visit with some anzovin family and made breakfast for dinner. Also watched the Rifftrax of the most surreal stop-motion Christmas special: Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas donkey.

mmmm, breakfast.

Rifftrax is the one with Mike Nelson, right? Was it funny?

Can you send me the one you watched? The one I watched was a rather poorly written affair made watchable only by the actors, as usual.

I will write up my thoughts on this later, but I wasn't terribly pleased.

I'm so glad you had a good time with your family on Christmas! And yay for excellent pot roast!

I'm quite curious about the DW special. Is it on TiVo so I can see it when I get back?
