I have had three of the past four days off, albeit in a backdoor fashion. Friday was a usual off-day for me, and I ran some important errands, including going to the bank to discuss re-financing the house. (Interest rates have dropped significantly in the past three years.) Saturday I worked...which, since it was World Wide D&D Game Day, meant playing D&D at the store for 12 hours, running two groups through the Journey Through The Silver Caves. [Which I found only fair to middling as a pre-packaged adventure. SPOILERS: I felt that the opening was abrupt, and that the skill challenge portion, following the fleeing orc down the river, would have been better served as a series of related skill challenges, and to have the underground river bits to be all one section. Also, I don't think the write-up provided enough guiding info for the players so they could know what skills to use. Still, gaming is gaming, and Jim let me keep some of the minis, so yay.]
Sunday, M and I were to go to Ikea, but we lazed around and got a late start, so we stayed home and had dinner with friends instead.
Yesterday, despite our resolve, we still got a late start, but went to Ikea anyway, getting home after 9 PM. We now have about a dozen new things to assemble and arrange around the house.
Today, I was summoned for jury duty, but it turned out I wasn't actually needed at all, so I'm at liberty. And now, off to lunch with my Sweetie.
