M and I saw Wall-E last night, and I was both charmed and moved by it.  It was cute, and funny, and well-animated.  It was also well-characterized and suspenseful (for a 90 minute G-rated cartoon).  I was completely hooked, and taken with both Wall E and Eva.  And to my surprise, I found myself crying uncontrollably when it seemed that Wall E was dead.  I'm not sure I know what it is that moves me so much, though it might be Wall E's courage.  He's terrified of Eva when he first sees her, but also enamored, and he pushes himself on, even as he trembles.

Which, I guess, makes him more M than me.  :)

I fell asleep a lil at the beginning but when Eva came..I work up and was also charmed and moved. Very sweet and funny movie. I think I may have cried too. Amazing how much emotion was achieved in these characters.

So not true! One of the things that I found attractive about you in the first place was your emotional and moral courage. I love you for it.

I'm glad you liked it. Fred Willard was excellent comic relief.
