My wife and I are running very late to head back to greater Boston for time with family.  It's a double feature: tomorrow is Millari's late mother's birthday, and we're getting together with her family for a memorial supper.  It should be a good time and I look forward to it.  This weekend, my uncle is in town visiting from Honolulu, so we'll be having brunch with my family tomorrow morning.  Today, we planned to see my brother during the day, and friends in the evening.  Now, who knows.  Ah, the joys of ADD.

Anyway, it's spring, so I'm starting into my allergy season, which feels as crapulous as ever.  It's also shareholder meeting season, so I have gotten a number of annual reports and proxy cards to examine and fill out.  Over the past few years, I have made a point of reading these things over and voting on them.  Usually, I vote against whatever the board of directors wants, because usually they want us to rubber stamp their unopposed appointments of cronies to the boards, and vote down any proposals from other shareholders, including proposals like requirements to disclose to the shareholders (i.e. the owners) how the company pays its employees, how it contributes to charities and political organizations, and other measures that would allow people outside the board to follow the money.  All of these proposals are, apparently, not in our best interest.  Such naked corruption.  It's so depressing it's funny.

OH, and now we're ready to go, so this post ends now.

Well, not right then, obviously, because I'm doing this stupid joke stringing it along.

It's stupid, but I'm amused.

OK.  Now, I'm stopping.

For real.

And to think I was doing *serious* things while you were posting your strung out joke!

Like trying on six different outfits trying to figure out which one to take with us for the brunch with your uncle.
Like packing my IPod.
Like harrassing the cat.

:)

Well, if it's any consolation, you picked the right outfit.

Thank you both for visiting. I thought that the Plan-B brunch went well. :)

Certainly not. I'm always happy to have someone new paying attention to me. My journal bio is completely accurate, after all
