Party at my place

grinninfooleYesterday I once again had company over to make pizza, have fun, and listen to Darknoise on WMUA (link to Stormcloud’s LJ http://www.livejournal.com/talkpost.bml?journal=stormcloud&itemid=103746). Over the past few weeks its been Sydneycat, Filthyassistant and myself. This week, the crowd was somewhat larger. Sinsselfchosen and her boyfriend (who does not have an LJ account, so I’ll be lame and call him Tom) joined us. I knew SSC only very slightly, and Tom not at all, so I was very pleased to discover that I liked them both very much. Tom apparently has much experience in pizza construction, and his tacit knowledges were quite valuable in creating a tasty meal for us all. SSC seemed a bit nervous to be hanging out with me (she’s already friends with FA and Syd), but after prowling my bookshelves for a while I think she decided that I can’t be all bad. And, without any warning at all, she paid me a priceless compliment, telling me that I had a gift for explaining things. I don’t know if she could tell how deeply touched I was by that, but it left me so speechless I’m not sure I even managed to say thank you. So, just in case: thank you so much, SSC. I do hope you both come back.
Sabbath joined us later in the evening after her class got out, and Morlock came over after he finished work. He and Syd were tired, so they left around midnight, no doubt to perform unspeakable acts with each other. Sabbath stayed over after everyone else left, and we shared my bed very comfortably, I thought. (She had to leave in a hurry in the AM, so possibly she didn’t have time to complain of being smacked in the head all night. :)
Anyway, much of the evening was occupied in playing my LOTR board game, and in trying it out with the expansion that Shadow and Pixi gave me for my birthday. It took a long time, but I had much fun, and I look forward to trying it again sometime.[

Date: 2002-04-28 01:18 pm (UTC){ahem} Shadow, Pixi, for the past few Fridays Syd, FA and I have been getting together, making dinner, playing papercrack and other stuff, and listening to Darknoise on WMUA. It's a lot of fun, and if it continues to be so, we'll probably keep doing it for the foreseeable future. You guys are welcome to join us any time.v
