Will Eisner is dead.

Will Eisner, last and most thoughtful of the early greats of American comics, died yesterday. I met him three times. He was a really nice man, with lots of interesting stories to tell. I'm sorry I shall never meet him again. I wonder if the non-comics world will notice.

That's a shame. He was a class act, and he encouraged a lot of people in comics.
