I had meant to spend this afternoon taking two or three hours to reflect on both the recent events in my life as well as my long-term goals. Now, I'm dashing this off quickly before I run off to an appointment. I suppose I'll have time when I get back, but that doesn't mean I'll post in it. Still, this is something I wanted to do, so I'm going to put something here.

It's so easy for me to get frustrated, to feel that I can't accomplish all the things I need to do, and then get stuck in that and do nothing. Inspired by Millari, want to make some resolutions for 2004. Inspired by Fuschia, I want to buckle down and either finish my MA or give it up. I need to pay my bills. I need to figure out why my brand new fucking palm pilot (a great gift from my parents which actually is a helpful tool) won't actually back up any of my info onto this computer. There are so many things to do that I need to really schedule my time well. Since I'm not, I'm fighting the urge to break stuff--which would be especially bad since all the stuff around me is Millari's.

I look forward to gaming tomorrow, but I really need to devote more time to my life than to creating character background and stats tinkering.

That reminds me: is there any particular significance in the direction the tree faces? What type of tree? What season? Is there anything but the tree or is it alone?

Direction? I had pictured to the left, but it doesn't really matter. The season is also unknown to me. It's just the tree and the cliff to which it clings. I envisioned it with leaves, but otherwise I have no idea about species. I suspect that we can see some bare branches. Thanks for doing this.

Leaves? It is deciduous? Evergreens are hardier, but that might just be a further testament to it's fortitude.

Oh, also: Stylized or realistic? Detailed? Small or large? (And thus resolution of detail?

Small. As stylized or realistic as you choose.
