Sporadic update

grinninfooleIt's late, so I shan't go on too long, but I wanted to put up at least a little news. First, Mom's surgery is Tuesday. Everyone think good thoughts, just in case it helps. Mom's pretty stressed because when she had the routine chest XRay last week, they found something opaque in her lung, which could conceivably be another tumor. It probably isn't, but she had a ultra-sound today to find out, and we'll see what comes of that.
Attended a lecture by the great Will Eisner at Umass today, accompanied by Filthyassistant, Sydneycat, Leftahead and Fuschia. Saw a bunch of other folks there, too, some of whom are regulars at the store, and who were there because we put the word out. Lefty, the lucky sob, had dinner with Will, Denis Kitchen and Chris Couch (the Umass prof who arranged the whole thing) while I worked for him on Friday. Later, saw Timeline (sucks, avoid), went Xmas shopping, then watched Pirate of the Caribbean again on DVD. (still good) Nice hanging out again with FA and SC. Been awhile since I was able to make time to do that. Yay.
Now I'm off to curl up with Feisty, who surely misses me even more than I miss her, which is a lot.
