So I called my friend Justin tonight. I have been trying to reach him for some time and left messages, but tonight I just felt that I should call, even though by the time I was free to do so it was 10:30. It turned out that it was a good instinct, but he wasn't free to chat: his wife had just gone into labor.

heh. I got to be the first to say congratulations.

I'm reminded of those old commercials for those Time-Life books on the paranormal; you know, the ones from our childhood that would say, "a woman picks up a hot pan and drops it, burning her hand ... a thousand miles away, her twin sister feels a burning sensation in her right hand ..." or something like that.

Somehow, it was always predominantly women in those examples, now that i think about it - a woman boarding a plane in Dallas has a premonition of an airline disaster. She gets off the plane and it later crashes. Coincidence??? Shell out 19.95 a month til the end of time for our books of extremely dubious and pandering science."

Wait. I admit it. I made the last part up.
