Friday evening story fun!

Hey, folks. Sabbath and I are having fun in the great white north, and we will be coming back tomorrow. We should be home between 6 and 7 PM, barring weird shit. I would, thus, like to have folks over tomorrow. If you are reading this, you are invited. Filthyassistant, if you would be so good as to be at my place to receive those visitors who arrive before I do, I should be eternally(1) grateful. If you were to, say, prepare some tacos or something to eat, as well, I may be grateful for twice as long.

Trip to Quebec

Sabbath and I arrived around 8 pm on Tuesday. Our hotel is in a suburb called L'ancienne Lorette, and it`s basically a giant strip mall, akin to Hadley. We ate at a restaurant that seemed normal at first, but by the time the check came had truly creeped us out--for no reason that we could determine. Just bad interior design, I guess.

We then went to see a movie, and discovered why there are two large cineplexes right next to each other: one shows English language films (at least some) and the other shows only stuff dubbed into French. We saw Spy Kids 2, and it was a lot of fun.

Yesterday, we wound up sleeping very late, and we got into town around 2:30 in the afternoon. We wandered around for awhile, discovering that Quebec was indeed built upon a cliff, and is quite steep and quite brutal on hot, humid days. We had some lovely food, including maple syrup pie, which was yummy. We spent a lot of time just wandering the streets looking at shops and buildings and things. In the evening we took a ghost-stories tour, which wasn`t bad, and had a lovely and filling meal at the Diable aux Anges restaurant.

Today we have been to the Museum of Civilization (not nearly as pretentious as we had feared) and walked the walls and the Plains of Abraham. Right now, I am boring you all. Later, we shall celebrate Sabbath`s birthday (she`s old enough to be crucified. I hope y'all finish putting the cross together by our return tomorrow. :) The drive should take about six hours.
