For the past five years (!) I have been working full-time at Modern Myths.
Well, I think that this was once a dream job you sought out and did things with it that challenged you, and you learned a lot from it and from working with Jim. I think you learned some abstract skills that will serve you well in your next job.
I think it's great that you've got a to-do list and that you're tackling it in a very sane way. I've got a jobhunting-related one going too, and I'm trying to get started on it. Your example is inspiring.
If I can't find a job by the end of July, I'm going to stick around at the store for another year.
Yeah, really you couldn't be in a better position (I mean except for your current financial situation). And you even like the new boss! And I think you're going to learn a lot from helping Jim open the new site, stuff you might take with you somewhere someday. You never know.
