Comics Recommendations

grinninfooleInspired by Crouchback, here are some currently in-print superhero-ish graphic novels from the big publishers (Marvel, DC, Image, Darkhorse) that I would recommend. This is not a comprehensive list, just what comes to mind off the top of my head.

Looking it over, it pretty much boils down to: check out anything by Brian Bendis, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka, and Grant Morrison, and consider checking out stuff by Frank Miller, Kurt Busiek, J. Michael Straczynski, and, if he ever writes anything else, Joss Whedon.)
